Christmas Greetings from the Grand Commander

To the Eminent Grand Prelate, and to all Sir Knights of the Grand Commandery of Michigan:

Knightly Greetings!

December is here once more and as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, we remember and are thankful for the blessings that He has bestowed on each of us and our loved ones.

This is the time of year when we gather family and friends around the Christmas tree to exchange gifts and perhaps enjoy a special meal always prepared with extra care and much love.  Some will go caroling on Christmas Eve while others will attend church to hear the Christmas music and to reflect on the magnificent meaning of the birth of Jesus.

As Knights Templar let us remember the rich heritage of our Order and the time and treasure spent by the first Knights Templar defending the Holyland and the Pilgrims traveling from all over Europe to visit Jerusalem.  They were warriors, yes, but they were holy men as well.

Let us emulate their example as we live our daily lives, to be true to the tenants that they set down for us and remember to spend time regularly praying for guidance as we progress through the various stages of our lives.

On behalf of Lady Donna and our family, and the officers of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Michigan, we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  We look forward to seeing you at your Commandery activities as this Templar Year progresses, and especially at the Annual Conclave in August.

May the joy of the Season be with you and yours each day of the year. With all best wishes, and have a most Blessed and Merry Christmas!

Courteously,

Howard H. Crumit, Jr., KCT
Grand Commander
